I’m currently a BOY mom, who’s 19 months old. I had a beautiful pregnancy experience with my boy.. no acne, swelling, my nose didn’t change, hair grew like crazy.
I’m now pregnant with a lil princess.. and all I hear is that GIRLS WILL STEAL YOUR BEAUTY! Currently, babygirl has been good to me, no nausea. But I’m a little nervous.. do girls really steal your beauty??

don’t think this is true! I have a 2 year old girl and pregnant now. Breastfeeding and exercise was healthy for me and I am looking normal. And I don’t have extreme stretch marks etc.
You’ll love having a little girl!

I have two girls. First daughter totally, I got eczema & dematitis on my face, horrible acne. Second daughter I have never had more glowing beautiful skin in my life.
I don’t believe the gender old wives tales. Every pregnancy is different full stop

@mclauch1,
Yes!! The tales are fake. I have two boys and COMPLETELY different symptoms. My first was bad nausea, exhausted, swollen… my second I never felt pregnant I was so energetic never had nausea didn’t have cravings either! I swore it was a girl and they both were boys lol

@mclauch1,
ok so far I am the same as you, but I don’t know the gender of this baby yet. The glowing skin has had me thinking it’s a boy haha. I don’t really believe the old wives tales, but it’s just fun to speculate when symptoms are so different. I’d love another girl, so it’s good to hear that both yours were girls!

No it’s not true for me I have had. Boy / girl / boy
With my first boy I felt rough and just gross broke out abit hair was just lacking everything
I just felt terrible he’s now 15
With my 2nd which is a girl she made me feel the same but I had shiney hair with her and long healthy nails although I broke out abit with her
I also was abit more puffy in the face with her too she’s now 8
then with my 3rd he’s a boy
I felt amazing glowing so much face was clear skin looked amazing and hair was so long and glossy he’s now 14 months old
I had sickness with all 3 of them though really bad
I think every pregnancy is different
I had some good things and bad things happen with my girl pregnancy

everyone was convinced I was having a boy because of this and I had a healthy baby girl :) did get sick in the 1st trimester but was smooth sailing after that. Didn’t have acne either. Felt beautiful!

I don’t think that’s true. But I did hear A LOT of negative things about having a daughter when I was pregnant with mine. It was really disappointing, honestly. I feel like as moms we should talk better about our children. Moms would tell me how horrible it is to have a girl right in front of their own daughters. Also as women why can’t we be more encouraging to other moms/about the next generation of women???
Okay sorry Tedtalk done
Congrats on your girl! Daughters are so fun!!

@hiyababy4,
I agree! Strangers tell me when they see my cute daughter “just wait until she’s a teenager…” so rude. Also I was a laid back, chill teenager so if that’s how she turns out, great! I was so happy to have a little girl!

I had the best skin ever when pregnant with my daughter. PP hair loss I don’t think I’ll ever recover from but pregnant with another girl (IVF) and already my skin is looking better than it did when not pregnant. ♀️

@stkms17,
I also had terrible PP hair loss with my son, that I haven’t recovered fully from. I’m secretly hoping this pregnancy will help me fully recover, so if I have to lose it again, it won’t be that bad

Had the smoothest pregnancy with my daughter… no puking, no acne, only gained 30pounds (not that I was trying or cared… just what happened) and no stretch marks. Just a really smooth go at pregnancy so I personally didn’t have this experience.

No I have 3 girls and if anything I just look older and tired but that’s normal for 3 little kids, I think it’s just an old wives tale
