In connection to the response, the county said it will prove to the media “an update on the ongoing operation to secure the property located at 1401 Langston Blvd.” A press conference was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. in nearby Gateway Park.

One of the world’s biggest soccer tournaments begins today, and you can bet there will be viewers in Arlington.
Euro 2024 will kick off beginning with Germany vs. Scotland at 3 p.m. Matches will be held almost daily — scheduled for 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. eastern — leading up to July 14’s final.

NEW: Ballston Target robbery leads to bike and foot chase

A robbery suspect led police on a bike and then a foot chase Tuesday afternoon.
The incident started with a robbery of the Target store on N. Glebe Road in Ballston around 3:15 p.m. The suspect allegedly pushed an employee to the ground and then fled on a bicycle, with the stolen goods in tow.
Officers located the suspect on Carlin Springs Road and tried to stop him, but he continued on the bike before getting off and running from officers who gave chase on foot.
